Do you know what your life passion is? Perhaps you have more than one. If you have not discovered your life passion, then you are in the right place to discover it. There was a time in my life that I had no idea of my life passion nor what I wanted to accomplish in my life. I did not even know what direction my life should take. I felt lost and aimless.

Unfortunately, I did not have guidance with this matter. I accidently stumbled into my life passion and pursued it without realizing it. Then I discovered techniques to become crystal clear and put both words and meaning to my life passion. Once I identified that passion, my whole life transformed. I became whole and complete with talents and skills that had been hidden. I now have a roadmap for my life, which now has a special meaning.

You can identify your life passion using several techniques. First, make a list of all the things you feel passionate about in life. It may end up being a long list. Then perform daily creative visualization meditations with the intent of discovering your life passion. During your creative visualization meditations, give your subconscious mind the directive to reveal your greatest passions in life and give you clarity in defining your life passion.

One good resource is the Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard.  Go to: http://www.motivationmanifesto.com/

Through reading The Motivation Manifesto and performing daily creative visualization meditations, you can realize your life passion and mission.

Identify Your Life Goal

After I discovered my life passion, the next logical step was to set goals that would give me the ability to achieve what I wanted to do. I am currently accomplishing sets of goals that will provide me the tools and resources to create Raven’s Lair Adult Education Center.

Some of my goals I have already accomplished include the following: publish The Dominant’s Handbook in paperback, create a website for Raven’s Lair, create BDSM Training Films and sell them through my website, write the eBook Esoteric Adventures – A Sacred Harlot’s Photo Essay, and provide Dominant Training Program classes in Houston to teach Domination skills.

A life goal does not need to be this complex. What is important is to discover what your passion in life is and to follow your passion. As you follow your passion, it may seem complex at first. If it seems too complex, take a closer look and see how you can break it down into simpler steps.

While I have given just a short version of my goals, each goal is a stepping stone to reaching my life passion. It is through the process that I learn and grow. A quote I love that Brendon Burchard wrote is, “The most powerful faith in the world is the humble variety that says I believe in my ability to learn and figure things out. With enough focus time effort and dedication, I believe I can learn to do what must be done and become who I must become to achieve my dreams.”

The first step is to identify what you need to accomplish your dreams. Start with the big picture of what you want to accomplish. This is your life goal. Then break down your life goal into manageable and doable steps. For example, if your dream and passion is to open a bakery, then identify what you need to accomplish your dream. You will need to have a location for the bakery. You will need to determine what items you want to produce. You will need to save up money as most businesses are fortunate if they break even for their first year of business. You will need equipment and cooking supplies. You will need advertising. You may need a small business loan. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. List all the things you will need to open up your bakery. It is a good idea to talk to people who own a bakery as well as people who work in a bakery. Find out all the information you can. Make a list of all the things you will need to accomplish your dream. Once you have completed your list, break down the list into short term and long term goals. Organize your list within a time structure – what items need to be accomplished first and which items are less time sensitive.

Next, break down the big goal into small goals that you can start doing now. Determine what things from your list that you can start accomplishing within the next few months. Then determine what items from your list can be accomplished within a year. Write them down on a calendar and set deadlines for yourself. It is a good idea to set goals for the year ahead, then a three-year plan, and finally a five-year plan.

When you organize your goals on the calendar, I find it helpful to intermix goals that are exciting and fun with goals that are more mundane and seem more like tedious work. By doing so, it helps to keep one’s motivation levels higher. If you put off the less desirable goals till the end, it will be more difficult to keep focused and motivated once you have to tackle all the less desirable goals by themselves. It also helps to reward yourself after you have accomplished some of the more challenging goals.

There may be some goals that you find that you do not have the necessary skills to accomplish. There are two options. You can outsource them to a professional consultant for a fee, or you can learn the skills through research and/or by taking courses. There are advantages and disadvantages to both.

Outsourcing to a third party has the advantage that it is in most circumstances quicker and certainly easier for you. The disadvantages are that it costs money, you don’t have as much control over the end results, and if it is an ongoing task that needs to be accomplished, you will need to continue outsourcing the tasks.

Developing the skills and completing the tasks necessary to accomplish the goal will take time and effort on your part. If the goal involves complex expertise, it will take a lot longer to learn, and a professional will have the expert knowledge that may take many years for you to develop. On the plus side, by learning new skills and completing the tasks yourself, you will have more control on the outcome. Through the process you will develop new skills and you will save money.

For each goal that you do not have the skills and knowledge to complete, you will need to weigh the pros and cons for outsourcing or learning the skills and completing the project yourself. There is not a right or wrong answer, so give this some thought before making a decision to outsource or do it yourself.

I find it helpful to remind myself of the big picture on a daily basis. I have included my life goals and dreams in both my morning affirmations and in my daily meditations. It helps me keep focused on the passion and not get lost in the detail work. Keep a positive attitude, and with time and effort you will build success upon success as you go through the process. There will probably be setbacks along the way. Remember, there is no such thing as failure in a permanent sense, just setbacks that need to be reevaluated and new options that need to be sought out. By focusing for a short time each day on the passion and dream, you can keep yourself on track and see each setback as an opportunity to explore new options.

It also helps to have a mentor or life coach. This person could be a close friend or someone who has accomplished the goals you want to set. I recommend a half hour to an hour session once each week to meet with someone you can share your successes and difficulties with. Some weeks will require more time, especially when working through setbacks. Other weeks will take less time, especially when there are not many activities to perform. A mentor or life coach can provide invaluable insight as well as help you stay motivated and on track. Just having someone to report in with once a week will help you to stay focused and complete the tasks you need to complete.

I congratulate you on reading this material. May it open the door to your life passion and goals.
